If the mental ray rendering plugins have been reinstalled, repeat the uninstall steps above, restart, then install the 3.14.1.4 version.When the install completes, return to the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features, and make sure the features plugins are present.Right-click on the MentalrayPlugins2017.msi file, choose Install.Browse to the folder X64 > mentalrayPlug folder.To reinstall the feature plugins, go to your original C:\Autodesk\3ds Max 2017 installation folder.(It is possible that users may see 2 blank spaces, and trying to select either of these may trigger a program crash.) Note: The mental ray and IRay renderers will not appear in the 3ds Max 2017 Renderer drop-down menu.
